The Costa del Sol, being a mix of traditional holiday destination and millionaires playground, offers shopping to please any taste.

From the popular street markets ( Fuengirola has the biggest on the Coast, held every Tuesday morning) to the exclusive shops in Marbella and Puerto Banus, you'll find something to suit every taste and pocket.
  

Banus in particular has very select shopping, including the massive department store 'El Corte Ingles' just behind the marina, and designer names like Armani, Gucci and Versace well represented. The marina has a number of exciting shops, with designer jeans mingling with art shops, antique dealers and jewellers.

The resorts of Fuengirola and Benalmadena are not short of interesting shops, with Benalmadena Marina offering some very classy and colourful outlets to tempt you inside. The centre of Fuengirola offers a wide variety, with a great selection of quality shoe shops. The new Myramar Parque complex in Fuengirola (opened May 2004) incorporates a huge hypermarket for all your grocery needs plus dozens of clothes shops, shoe shops, interiors, jewellers, perfumeries etc., and also has a large food court and 12 screen cinema complex.

For your grocery requirements during your stay, the indoor marketplace in the town centre (next to the train station, open Monday to Saturday) offers great selections of freshly caught fish as well as wonderful butchers shops and colourful stalls groaning under displays of fruit and vegetables. Shop the way the locals shop, in a much more interesting environment than the supermarket.
