Kate Lynch
"Kate's paintings are not realistic in a photographic sense but
The painter Kate Lynch began exhibiting her work in 1985 -
primitive images of the mother and child. Over the next ten
years, she became established with her low-key, atmospheric
landscapes and expressive pastels.
More recently she has become interested in the people who work in the landscape of the Somerset Levels - the traditional farmers and craftsmen involved with apples and cider, peat and, especially, willow. [click here to see the book Willow]
