Sandra and Loyd have recently been invited to perform in the opening Milonga of an International Tango Festival in Italy (Tango d'Abrazo - Summer 2009), were the invitees names include the worldwide famous Javier Rodriguez & Andrea Misse, Sergio Natario & ALejandra Arrue.

Club History:

Gallo Ciego opened its first regular classes and Milongas in 2004. Sandra and Loyd have been teaching every Thursday (and occasionally on Sundays) since then beginners and later intermediate. Sandra and Loyd have also been running monthly Milongas with traditional music by DJ Sandrita, along with practicas.

Juan Manual Acosta, Giraldo Escobar and Kicca Tommasi have been coming regularly to teach workshops and performances until March 2007 intermediate and advanced level. Juan Manuel and Kicca went back to Buenos Aires following different routes: he was hired by Tango por dos (one of the best tango company in the world) and she since is dancing with Julio Mendez and has opened her own Milonga in Buenos Aires (El Social).

Giraldo is still running the best Milonga in the UK based in London, Corrientes Social Club.

December 2004 - First Christmas Milonga with performance by Kicca and Juan Manuel
March 2005 - Hasta Luego Juan Manuel week end
September / October 2005 - 5 week end of intensive workshops with Juan Manuel and Kicca
December 2006 - Christmas ball with performance by Kicca and Giraldo and week end of workshops
July 2008 - Tango Salon week end workshops and performance with Roberto Bolletin y Mariana Bocalatte
September 2004 until March 2005 - regular workshops on Sundays with Kicca and Juan Manuel
April 2005 until March 2007 - regular workshops with Giraldo and Kicca on Sundays
July 2008 - El 13 Villa Urquiza 1st edition with Roberto y Mariana
October 2008 - Milonga with Stefano and Alex, class and performance wonderful!

We are still waiting for Giraldo to have a partner to organise regular workshops...
