AID WORKER/VOLUNTEER

For A Period Less Than Three (3) Months

You will need to submit:

• Completed Application for Entry Permit (please print off and fill in)
• Two passport sized photographs
• Confirmed travel itinerary
• Valid passport (minimum six (6) month validity from proposed date of entry into Papua New Guinea)
• Letter from Educational/ Government/ Pastoral sponsor indicating precise nature of visit and proposed length of stay in Papua New Guinea
• Payment of visa fee. Please confirm the amount of the fee by calling the Visa section of the High Commission (020 7930 0922)
• You should also send Coupons Response International to the value of £4.60, which you can obtain from your Post Office. These will then be exchanged for stamps so your passport can be returned.  You can alternatively make arrangements with a Courier Service to come and collect your passport at your own expense.

If Your Length of Stay is Over Three (3) Months, Then You Should ALSO Provide:

• Full medical check
• Medical certificate of AIDS check results
• Chest X-ray results/report (not the x-ray film)
• PNG Statutory Declaration Form to replace police report
• An up-to-date copy of your Curriculum Vitae

N.B. In this case we require Immigration Authority before we can process you visa; therefore you should request your contact in PNG to lodge the visa clearance at Immigration Division, Department of Foreign Affairs in Port Moresby as soon as possible. Once we receive Immigration Authority from Immigration Division, then we will proceed to endorsing your visa.  It normally takes between four (4) to six (6) weeks for all immigration formalities to be completed.
