26/08/07 Jupiter Muke has been getting airplay on new digital radio station "The Jazz" - In the last few weeks the tracks "The Spaniard" and "Caught On Film" have been played out on Jamie Cullum's weekly saturday morning show (11am-1pm). Check it out jazz fans!

21/08/07 Jupiter Muke's Epic Listening EP is now completed. You can hear samples at www.myspace.com/jupitermuke - the EP marks the start of a new direction for John as a producer. It will be available to buy from the myspace page soon.

The name "Jupiter Muke" comes from 19th century writer Ambrose Bierce, whose style was witty yet often sinister and macabre, all of which are adjectives used to describe John's music. His most famous work was "The Devil's Dictionary" in which, one of his pen names is "Jupiter Muke".

NEW MUSIC NIGHT!!

01/05/07 John is co-running a new music night in Camberwell called "Headhunters" at a really cool bar / eaterie / art gallery / venue called The Sun and Doves. Occuring every Sunday evening, the style is progressive, breakbeat, electronic, cinematic soundscapes laced with jazz. So far bands that have played or are coming up Elettrorganica, Chik Budo, The Blessing, Norwegians Lama/Waage, Drum & Flute, Charly Richardson, Guerillasound and of course, "John's Hoares". Admission is always FREE, in summer the music happens in the fantastic and huge garden, and there's always good food and drink available. Get thine arses down there!

01/11/06 John will be performing with Candid Records artist Mishka Adams for 2 nights at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho on November 3rd and 4th. The band, featuring Phil Peskett on keys, Richard Pryce on bass and Dave De Rose on drums will be showcasing material from the forthcoming album. For table reservations call 020 7439 8722. 25/10/06 John has just finished producing and playing on the new album for Candid Record's artist, Mishka Adams. Recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios, the album will be released early in 2007.

23/08/06 John is currently mixing his new album, recorded in Sweden in June. Release date is tbc, but snippets should be out and about by september. Watch this space!

04/06/06 Two more gigs coming up next week! John's 5-Piece Film Orchestra is playing at The Vortex Jazz Club on Tuesday the 6th and the quartet play the Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho with Mishka Adams on the 7th. John is currently eating a little too much pizza....

26/05/06 You can catch John performing in London on Monday 29th of May at the 606 Club in Chelsea with Candid Record's singer Mishka Adams and the following night at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho with his own 5-piece film orchestra as part of Dekkor Records week.

20/05/06 John is working towards his new album to be recorded in June with his "5-Piece Film Orchestra". Also, new gigs added.

23/12/05 Having finished a european tour with Roisin Murphy, John is writing new material for an album, due to be recorded in the spring of 2006. He will be showcasing some of this new material in January, when he returns to the Pizza Express Jazz Club in Dean Street for three nights, Jan 21st - 23rd. 16/10/03 John returns from New York to join the Super Furry Animals for their UK tour promoting their new album "Phantom Power"

09/10/03: John is heading off to New York next week where he will be guesting with the Jamie Cullum Trio as part of their residency at the legendary Oak Room in the Algonquin Hotel.
