Unfortuately whilst there is lots of information out there much of it is confused and indeed conflicts with each other. Personally I support research into the physical and bio-chemical abnormalities of Myalgic Encephalomyelitus and to once and for all remove the unhealthly influence of UK psychiatrists. Unfortunately there is no coherent alliance against this influence with all the ME charities and pressure groups fighting each other. Having only been actively fighting for ME since October 2004 I am already sick of the in-fighting (I am not sure any two groups agree) and thought I would have my own agenda. Everyone else has their own agenda anyway!

Dr Myhill An ex-NHS Doctor's website. I don't know Dr Myhill but she appears to be sympathetic to ME/CFS. BTW Doctors more often than not only refer to CFS - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome not ME.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitus Ramsay's defiitive definition of ME. Ramsay is known as definining the modern ME. The rest of the site is also a good information resource. The yahoo group is also very good but you can't mention other groups or you get banned.

Inaction for ME Actually they are called Action for ME or AfME but they are mostly all talk. Good at promoting themselves and Chronic Fatigue but not so good at supporting the correct treatments for ME and despite having over £700,000 income a year are unwilling to commission their own research. They also support CBT and Graded Exercise which can harm seriously ill ME patients. They are rumoured to be the subject of a fraud investigation as they haven't had an AGM since 1996.
