We won Bed and Breakfast of the Year from the Taste of the West Food & Drink Awards 2007/2008 for the 2nd year running!!. Enjoy our speciality breakfasts in our country style breakfast room. Using only the freshest ingredients, you can be sure that your breakfast has only travelled the minimum amount of food miles. The bread, sausages, bacon tomatoes, potatoes, eggs, kidneys, jams/marmalades, flapjacks/biscuits, soft fruit have travelled less than 5 miles to get to your plate! |

Fern Cottage Speciality Supper/Picnic Selection If you’re arriving late, too tired to eat out, or want a packed lunch/picnic hamper or evening supper, why not try our “Speciality” Supper Selection. However, suppers for Friday must be pre-ordered before your arrival at Fern Cottage as we have to purchase some items from our local producer. Guests wanting suppers for Saturday and/or Sunday evening can order during their stay at Fern Cottage. Please let us know if there is anything you would particularly like or if there is something you would like deleted from the menu. All you need to do is to bring your own bottle of wine, then sit back and relax! Wine glasses and a bottle opener are provided in your room. A choice of thick sliced farmhouse granary or thick sliced farmhouse white bread (from Pucklechurch Bakery) with salad garnish (our own salad leaves when in season) and kettle crisps (or our homemade and homegrown new potato salad (when in season)). Prices are per round (2 slices of bread) When pre-ordering, please state the choice of mustard/sauce/granary or white. Fern Cottage Home Made Cheese and Broccoli Quiche £6.75 FOR QUICHE AND SALAD Made with half/half pastry (½ wholemeal, ½ white flour, so the pastry’s not too heavy) with cheese and herbs, our own fresh eggs, fresh broccoli and local cheese. Served with kettle crisps (when in season, new potato salad using homegrown potatoes, salad cream and home grown chives) and salad (homegrown lettuce, tomatoes - our own when in season) with thick white or granary bread and Fern Cottage Home Made Chutney. Fern Cottage Home Made Mediterranean Quiche £6.75 FOR QUICHE AND SALAD Made with half/half pastry ( ½ wholemeal, ½ white flour, so the pastry’s not too heavy) with cheese and herbs, our own fresh eggs, fresh courgettes, tomatoes, garlic, red peppers, onion and local cheese (using our homegrown vegetables when in season).
