will help you to keep abreast gold prices, and to monitor the
share prices of Gold Mining and related companies.
Do Gold prices effect the prices of Gold Stocks? You
bet! We often see a close correlations between movements in
the Gold, and movements in gold stock indices. The
Philadelphia Gold & Silver Index (XAU) generally moves
0.50 to 1.00 for every $1.00 move in Gold. and the Gold Bugs
Index (HUI) typically moves more than 1.00. Major Gold stocks
are roughly 3 times as volatile as the metal, and junior
miners more than that. |
