Who should attend?
This conference is for members and officers in regional authorities (both at local authority and at regional development authority level), and for the stakeholders in each area – HE, FE, and schools, of course, but also the technology and content providers in the region, user groups and other public sector bodies working in each area, such as the local LSC, etc. The conference will also be very valuable for all delegates interested in e-learning and quality assurance issues in education, training, organisational learning and learning regions and cities, from public, private and voluntary sectors.
This includes:

  • representatives from local and regional education and development authorities; education, ministries of employment, chambers of commerce, trade unions
  • chief education officers, knowledge information officers, executive managers in charge of human and organisational development; executives from corporate and SME sectors
  • education and training practitioners

What will I get from the conference?
Delegates will obtain state-of-the-art information on key issues in quality and e-transformation of learning, from speakers and experts from a broad spectrum of expertise: representatives from key international organisations; standardisation, awarding and accreditation bodies; practitioners and professional bodies; the corporate and academic sector.
The Quality (e)Learning conference will also be a unique opportunity to start to work on developing local eLearning policy and strategy in partnership with the local stakeholders in each region. Delegates will be encouraged to build good local networks throughout the conference, not least by being seated together during the workshops. Delegates will also be offered the opportunity to take part in our show-and-tell e-Learning initiatives conference forum room, where all participants will be able to set up poster displays about their current work for discussion.

To register for the 2005 UK eLearning Regions and Cities Conference, please download the conference flyer here (196k).

Discount for Regional Networks
To encourage regional authorities to get their local stakeholders to join them at the conference, we are specifically offering a package of 10 tickets at a discounted rate (or 5 tickets for Unitary Authorities). We hope that regional authorities will take this opportunity to encourage all their potential local eLearning partners to come to the conference.
