Getting Married or having a Baptism at High Beach Church

HIGH BEACH PARISH OFFICE

If you would like to book a wedding or baptism at High Beach Church contact Waltham Abbey Parish Office on 01992 767897

BAPTISMS

At High Beach we are happy to welcome baptism to all who live in the parish, plus any who live elsewhere but join us regularly for Sunday Worship. In the case of those who live in another parish and do not worship with us it is essential for them to make contact with their own church and explain their reason for wanting a service elsewhere i.e. connection to High Beach via marriage etc.
Baptisms are normally conducted in the 10.15am Family Service on the 4th Sunday of every month or at 11.30am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
There is a £15 fee for the baptism certificate.

The total fees for 2005 are £650 with a £100 deposit payable at the time of booking. In the event of you having to cancel your wedding the deposit is refundable at the PCC's discretion. The balance is due at least 2 months before the day. This includes a charge for the organ and organist, choir, bell, bell ringer, some flowers and fees for the use of a video (professional or amateur). Please be aware that the photographer and/or video person will be subject to certain restrictions e.g. no flash photography during the ceremony.

Couples who live outside High Beach parish need to "habitually attend" this church for a period of AT LEAST 6 months (14 time before the Banns can be read at High Beach). You can then be entered onto the parish electoral roll which entitles you to be married at this church. This is a legal requirement (Marriage Act 1949) and must be strictly adhered to.

Wedding banns are read on three consecutive Sundays within 3 months of the date set for the marriage at High Beach Church. If either one of you is not resident in High Beach you will need to contact your local vicar(s) to arrange to have your banns published, whereupon, you will receive a certificate which is to be returned to the parish office at least 6 weeks before your wedding. You should ensure that you attend church when your banns are published.

For information on flowers and to discuss any special requests please contact Mrs Sandra Potter on 020 8508 8219

For hymns, music in and out, soloists etc, please contact our Wedding Organist Mr David Hooke on 020 8367 0042 at least 2 months before the day.
As the Church is situated in a conservation area, paper confetti is NOT allowed.

Any couple intending to marry within the next 12-18 months must attend our "Wedding Co-ordination Meeting" in order to confirm their reservation.

Cheques are payable to "High Beach Church"

BLESSINGS

This is a Service of Prayer and Dedication after civil marriage. Very often the civil marriage will take place in the local registry office immediately before our church service. The service is very much the same as the usual marriage service, although there are some obvious differences, for example, the couple may enter the church together. However, the occasion can be as full as required with organ, choir, bells hymns etc.

The fees for a blessing are £550 and cover the same as for a wedding, see above.
