Well, by day I clatter away at my keyboard at work - where I have the rather grand title of IT Software Administrator... But work is only for earning money to swap for kits , glue and paint, so when I'm at home I'm Treadhead the Plastic Kit Man. the office - yuk!
Here are a few example pics of my models, click on the thumbnail for a spread of larger pictures

I'm into 1/35th and 1/72nd armour - Until recently I was a German only type of bloke, but now I try my hand at a number of different kits - Russian T-34s, captured Sherman tanks in ambush schemes - anything that's a bit different. I also do simple conversions to Armoured Recovery Vehicles - that just leaves me with a pile of redundant turrets to find a use for...
I've also done some softskin vehicles too, and I find them more fun and definately harder work than AFVs. I've just treated myself to the Part Models 1/72nd Ursus A truck - it's the ultimate multimedia truck kit - one day I'll get up enough courage to start it..! As soon as I do it will be the subject of a build review

I live in the West of England with my wife Kate who's into patchwork quilting, cross stitching and card making in a big way.

She also likes PC gaming, and is currently working her way through the levels on 'Age of Mythology the Titans ' - so we have two computers in our playroom to avoid squabbles.

We have numerous cats who love to 'help' us both with all our hobbies!

We used to breed and show Champion British Shorthair Cats a few years ago - we've stopped now and our Queens have retired now, they sit around looking smug all day instead now. So the house is still full of cats both pedigree and moggie...

Lenin the kitten - -9 weeks old

This is Lenin - our latest addition. He is a 9 week old moggy - looks cute doesn't he... He's developed a taste for playing with Tamiya rubberband tracks - and I swear he can recognise the boxes as they come into the house - he's as anxious as I am to have the box opened...

By the way - his name is Lenin 'cos - wait for it -

He's a red male... :-)

We own a classic Vanden Plas 1300 which we are restoring. But that's for another website one day... pic of Di

One of Kate's cross stitches - If you'd like to see more please email her, I'd like to encourage her to have her own website...
My work bench

Where it all happens, my workbench at home. On the bench are the Revell T-34 and the Cromwell IV - both excellent 1/72nd scale kits and I'll be putting another build review up as soon as they are done.

I seem to have more time for actual model building at model shows these days, so I've put together a travelling model kit. Not only is it useful at shows, I take it on holiday with me. I've cut plastic in Cyprus, Egypt, Italy and a dozen places nearer to home in the UK. Check it out and see if something similar might suit you. my travelling model kit
