Morning
Classes
You will
have four 45 minute classes each morning, Friday to Tuesday. In your language
study classes, your teachers will work with you on a range of different
language skills appropriate to your level. This might include vocabulary
and grammar work, speaking and listening skills, survival English to help
you make the most of your stay in the UK, reading and writing, discussion
activities and debates, role play and drama, or any one of a range of
different activities.
We select only qualified and experienced teachers who are able to adapt
the classes according to the language learning needs of their students,
so that you get the best teaching, and make the most progress possible
in the time you are with us.
We provide a full range of levels, from Elementary to Advanced.
Complete Beginners are not accepted on to the main programme,
but should join the separate Absolute Beginners Programme.

Afternoon
and Evening Enrichment Options
In the afternoons, we provide a full range of Enrichment Options. Depending
on the preferences of the students, this could include a visit to a Shakespeare
play, or a country pub, a cream tea and a visit to a famous country house,
or a musical concert – or one of many other different cultural opportunities
in and around Oxford. The purpose of these Enrichment Options is to give
you the chance to use English in a natural setting – such as ordering
drinks in the pub – and to sample the amazing range of English culture
in the company of a teacher with local knowledge to take you to all the
best places.

English
for Juniors & English for Young Adult Programmes
Separately from our English and Culture courses, we also provide programmes
for Junior (12-15 years old) and Young Adult (16+) students. These programmes
are ideal for children of parents attending our English and Culture courses,
and are also perfect for children travelling alone.
For further details, go to the Junior or Young
Adult pages, or contact us.
You can download
a PDF page with this information from the Brochure
page of this site.
NB: The English
and English Culture course is not eligible for British Council accreditation.
It
is delivered to our same high standards, but we do not wish to imply that
this is an accredited course.
