Excursions

We offer a full range of excursions while you are with us. Two full day excursions are included in your course fees, plus a half day excursion and a tour of the Oxford colleges, and you can opt into as many other excursions as you wish.

For example, you might go to London one day, and then take a trip to Brighton the next day. After that, you may wish to do more, or you may decide that you prefer to do more sports, or to spend more time in Oxford.

If you want to do more, you could join us on a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, perhaps to see a play with the Royal Shakespeare Company, or you could come to Bath with us, or into London to do some shopping. There are so many different things that you could do, you may find it difficult to fit them all in!

Extra excursions only cost you a few pounds – depending on the destination, normally between £10 and £20 each. Not only is it convenient to have a coach to take you there and back, and to have our staff guide you round, but it is also cheaper than travelling there yourself!

 

Our excursion programme is designed to give you the opportunity to get to know more about the wide range of different parts of England. From a day in Cambridge to a boat trip up the Thames in central London, there are so many different things to do. The only problem will be for you to choose which ones to go on!

  • London Culture: British Museum, National Gallery, and walking tour (Buckingham Palace)
  • London Galleries: Tate Modern, Tate Britain, and Thames Boat Trip
  • London Theatre Evening: Excursion to a musical (e.g. We Will Rock You)
  • Stratford-upon-Avon Theatre: walking tour and theatre to see a Shakespeare play
  • Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon: Shakespeare's birthplace, walking tour and free time
