• Changing Tomorrow (Green Issues)
Much of our behaviour and habits, much of our understanding of good and bad, are formed without any real understanding of the wider impact of what we do every day – and what we could be doing instead. This course provides students with the background information and concepts to really understand the environmental, ecological and ethical issues facing all our futures, and encourages students to analyse typical media and popular responses – and to consider ways of developing new ideas, new ways of changing behaviour patterns, new paradigms – and how you can start today to Change Tomorrow!
(Three 12 hour programmes, so you can take just one week, or all three!)

• Drama & Communication
As well as being a creative subject, drama is an excellent way of developing your self-confidence and sharpening your communication skills. Through a series of role-play activities, this course will give you an introductory understanding of the mechanics of drama and help you to speak in public with more power and confidence.
(12 hour programme)

• Media Skills
How does what we are told affect what we think and understand about the world around us? Does the way information is given to us affect what we notice and what we ignore, particularly in a world where we are bombarded with information all of the time? This course seeks to develop your media literacy skills so that you are able to actively interpret rather than passively consume the media. You will study, analyse and discuss a wide variety of clips ranging from movies, through TV news to advertisements.
(12 hour programme)

• Photography and Film Making
From theory to practice, this unique course will explore the techniques of film-making. No experience is required, as we will give you the skills you need to develop your ideas into a properly constructed story on film. Our specialist staff will focus on the key aspects of telling a story visually, enabling you to produce your own piece of work, and to give you the understanding to consider taking your ideas further in the future.
(12 hour programme each week, so you can attend one or more weeks)
