Chesham
is set within the Green Belt and
surrounded by an area of Outstanding
Beauty. It is a self-sufficient Town
which has a strong sense of community.
This was demonstrated on Sunday,
31st. August, 2003, when the Annual Pram
Race took place.
All money raised from the event will be
donated to the family of the late Steve
Rutley who lost his life following a car
accident. |

The Pram
Race started at the various teams local
pubs at 1.00pm and finished back there
again at 5.00pm.
Each team member was treated to a free
half pint of beer supplied by the pubs
they visited. The pubs also supplied
Marshalls to control the event.
Fancy Dress was a must and it certainly
was in evidence at this fun event.
The winning team received a shield
engraved with the team members names and
the pub they represented.
The pub that collected the most money won
the Pram Race Charity Cup.
THE ORGANISERS WILL LIKE
TO THANK EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART IN THE
PRAM RACE.
