Situated above the
sea cliffs that are rich in fossils. Now natural gas is piped in from
the sea to the Bacton Gas Terminal.

Bacton Priory with gun enplacements
A few remnants of Bromholme Priory remain, once a pilgrimage
centre in the Middle Ages as the priory claimed to have a
piece of the true Cross. The priory owned Bacton Wood in the
Middle Ages.

Built about 1780. The machinery is intact as is the working waterwheel
and attached Millers House. Sir William Cubitt, inventor, was
born here.
